The London Collie Club Championship Show
Sunday 12th June 2016


I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge Smooth Collies at their championship show the hospitality was second to none.  The rain didn’t dampen our spirits.  My thanks to the smooth collie exhibitors for their quality entry I was very pleased with my placings in both sexes, the line up in males was strongly contested and top honours could of gone to any the winners.

1st Cole’s Sturtmoor Dream of Kasvelyn   Smart S/W not a big lad but no doubt he is a male balanced clean wedge head pleasing dark eye neat ears used his neck to enhance his outline clean on withers good forehand length of rib and rear quarters moved freely covered the ground easily looked the part standing and on the move just put a little more in to win the   CC & BOSIS
2nd Norman’s Seanua Signature Bigger all round all male masculine head well filled fore face good fore chest long loin lost out in movement to winner.

1st French’s Breckamore By Design Lovely coloured blue with tremendous neck good head pattern pleasing eye good front ribs and turn of stifle well-muscled firm loin moved positive all ways.
2nd Leach’s Manordeifi Dionysus At Hilltarn Classic head good eye and depth and width of chest kept his top line sound on the move.
3rd Benton & Wood’s Oakesstelle Vivaldi

1st Williams Ch Foxearth   Forward Thinking For Mcclelland S/W Liked this lads over all shape balanced head good under jaw and back skull sufficient neck nice depth to brisket and turn of stifle moved sound and free.
2nd French’s Breckamore Blushing Groom Shaded S/w longer cast than winner but still in proportion masculine head and pleasing expression   used his neck to advantage nicely angulated moved out well.

1st Bell’s Foxearth Fashion Guru For Koczkodan Shaded S/w Masculine all through like his size and shape clean wedge head correct stop good eye attentive   expression   neat ears   nicely angulated  front and rear  good  croup and tail set  moved out soundly  with  drive smooth  even strides pleased to award him  RCC
2nd Griffiths Alopex Matt Finish Tri Liked his outline and shape pleasing head and eye good fore chest and lay of shoulders solid loin flow over  croup moved true and sound round the ring.
3rd Trundley’s Lilymead Agamemnon

1st Bell’s Breckamore Bittersweet For Koozkodan What a poppet Tri baby with lots of charisma feminine head darkest of eyes giving super expression used her ears to show off her virtues moved well just needs to firm up could take her home.

1st   French’s Breckamore Blossom S/W puppy loved her size and shape clean wedge head well-set eyes giving pleasing expression good neck and fore hand flow over croup good length of tail moved out soundly keeping top line  one for the future BP BPIB
2nd   Norman & Theobald’s Seanua Softly Softly Another nice bitch correct head pattern used her well placed ears nicely angulated front and rear not as positive in movement as winner.
3rd   Trundley’s   Sturtmoor   Klarissants Kiss At Juniperwood

1st Brown’s Blamorder Back in Town Nice type of bitch correct head pattern and eye placement good angles front and rear firm loin in very good condition moved smoothly round the ring.
2nd Kinsey’s Sturtmoor Kurious Kadence Tri Shorter head than winner but in balance with her body shape well laid shoulders and good length and spring of rib  moved ok a little loose.

1st Benton’s Oakestelle Venus De Milo Attractive bitch feminine head nicely filled back skull pleasing expression good depth of brisket clean on withers nicely muscled loin good croup giving correct   tail set moved soundly with rear drive forward reach and smooth side action well deserved. RCC
2nd Peacock’s Blamorder Back to The Start for Saraneth Tri nice type of bitch good wedge head reach of neck depth to chest and angulations front and rear moved true and sound.
3rd Trundley’s Juniperwood Joyful

1st Haywood’s Ch Clingstone’s Hot Shot At Foxearth (Imp Fin) Tri top quality the complete package in tip top condition, feminine head totally balanced well set eyes giving alert soft expression neat ears, used her neck to show of her virtues excellent shoulders angulations and body shape which showed in her effortless movement smooth   even strides covering the ground with ease.   CC BOB & RBIS
2nd Trundley’s Juniperwood Jubilation Tri with pleasing head good muzzle and head planes lovely dark eye and expression kept her top line on the move which she did soundly and true.

VB (2 1a)
1st Benton’s Alopex Marionette of Oakestelle Attractive blue with plenty of ring presence showed non-stop using her neck to advantage feminine head in good order throughout moved soundly round the ring.
