Romford & District Canine Society Open Show
Saturday 18th July 2015

I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at their Open Show and their hospitality on the day was first class, it was a very enjoyable day. I would also like to thank the exhibitors who entered their dogs and giving me a lovely entry, all of whom were well turned out and presented , special thanks to those exhibitors who took the time to comment on my judging and accepted their placing in a very sporting manor.

Rough Collie Critique

Junior 8 (1)
1. Maxwell & Wallis’ Trenley Tavanagh at Hamisks, well presented 10 month old g/s dog well up to size with plenty of bone and substance, nice expression with correct stop, well placed eye and good ears which he used  well, long neck going into good shoulders, good length of back and long tail, good rear angulation, moved well. BP RBOB
2. Ludlow’s Tudorlyn Misty Dreams for Malina, lovely feminine 17 month old g/s bitch, sweet expression, nice head, good reach of neck and level topline, moved well. Preferred the head and expression of 1.
3. Rutherford’s Treeview Tell No Secrets

Graduate 3 (1)
1. Glover’s Caprioara Blueberry Charm at Stormsett, 5yr old blue dog, well balanced head, nice shape, good rear angulation, moved well, nice colour and markings.
2. Muffett’s Monsolina Pepper Sweet  (IMP RUSS) 22 month old blue bitch, not as good a colour as 1. Unsettled   and not at his best on the day, nice make and shape.  Preferred  the shape and colour of 1.

Open 7 (2)
1. Maxwell & Wallis’ Trenley Tatenen at Hamisks, 2 ½ year old sh/s dog in lovely condition, lovely well balanced head with well placed dark eyes, neat ears which he used to his advantage, long neck going into nice lay back of shoulder, level topline which he held on the move, good turn of stifle, moved effortlessly round the ring BOB.
2. Hull’s Lizmark Gold Standard ShCH, 4 year old g/s dog nice head and eyes, ears well placed, nice shape, good rear angulation and in lovely condition. Preferred  the expression and movement of 1.
3. Muffett’s  Lizmark Black Gold
