PAIGNTON CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2015
ROUGH AND SMOOTH COLLIE CRITIQUE

ROUGH COLLIES
Thank you too my stewards who kept all in order today. To sum up a breed from one show held on a Monday is perhaps unfair with an entry reflecting I do however find it somewhat disconcerting that my main winners were from other countries and very few UK bred exhibits came into the running. It is certainly a reverse of the days when the quality in UK was so high. We are becoming a nation of dog buyers and not breeder’s, something I feel in the future we will regret. Little experience is gained from consistently bringing in specimens. We have the breeding here in most instances it is just laziness or the need for a quick ladder that prevents people from going forward with it .Please watch and breed for ear set ,far too many seem to fall down in this department and it is slowly becoming an acceptable thing.

MINOR PUPPY DOG (3) (2absent)
1ST Coulson’s TIGANLEA BAG OF TRICKS
Promising jet black tricolour, good reach of neck and body shape, presents himself well. Clean head and good ear carriage. Still needs to clean out in stop which hopefully should come with age. Goes well from the rear but could be more positive in front which again I think is only an age thing and should improve in time.

PUPPY DOG   (3absent)

He covers the ground well on the move and was beautifully presented. Another year on his back and he will take some getting past.
