BEST IN SHOW CRITIQUE

It was an honour to be invited   to judge BIS & Referee   for The British Collie Club Championship Show.   A friendly, professionally smooth running Show.   My thanks go to the committee   for the invitation and their hospitality.  I also thank my   co judges Mrs Stella Clark (Rough Collie Dogs) & Mr Tony Iley (Rough Collie Bitches) and Mrs Penny Sewell (Smooth Collies) for sending in quality dogs.


Mrs Stella Clark. &   Mr Tony Iley agreed on their BOB Rough Collie but they were unable to agree on the other awards and I was delighted to be asked to step in.


Best In Show Cronk’s   Ch. Chelborn Desirable (Rough Collie) S/W   The finished picture mature attractive bitch excellent condition full coat and furnishings. Clean wedge head well filled foreface and good under jaw pleasing expression used her neck to show off her virtues and outline nicely angulated front and rear moved soundly round the ring with rear drive smooth side and good forward extension.  


Res Best  In Show &  R BOB Foy’s   Eloise Des Beldones (Rough Collie)   Pretty S/W bitch showed no stop super all round balance feminine head clean stop sweet expression ears bang on top excellent forehand , reach of neck on to well laid shoulders good spring of rib, loin and sweep over croup moved efficiently and soundly round the ring.


BOS  Randall’s   Ladnar Harvey Moon JW (Rough Collie) Handsome Tri boy not quite 2 year old excelled in construction, body & shape masculine balanced head dark eye ears on top altogether giving pleasing expression good length of neck onto clean withers well defined shoulders good rib cage and length of croup moved freely drove strongly covered the ground with ease excellent front action.


Best Puppy in Show & BPIBM. Blake’s Corydon Riffson (Rough Collie)   Tri boy of instant appeal right amount of bone and substance for age balanced head super dark eye and expression well set ears excellent reach of neck and front assembly good rear angles to give the drive required moved soundly and smoothly.


Res BPIS & RBPIB Walker’s   Chantique Stevie Nicks at Starlenga(Rough Collie) S/W Ultra feminine all round, head developing well sweet expression would like tighter ear carriage times on her side well off for bone and substance in lovely coat and presentation moved out well

Best Vet. Mclaughlin’s Ch. Derbypark Could It Be Magic For Brihow JW (Rough Collie) Tri Girl I have given a CC to she has not lost her glamour showmanship and  ring presence coat jet black in tip top condition has a lovely balanced head piece sweat expression neatest of ears used all her charisma to show off her many virtues moved out soundly and freely.

Although the Smooth Collie lost out to the Roughs Collies today    I felt he needed a mention

Leikola’s  Timonan Clouds Can Catch   S/W upstanding dog with super character strong masculine head alert expression good  neck well-made fore quarters  nice muscle tone  throughout  moved out strongly.
