Ayrshire Collie Club Championship Show
10th October 2015

I would like to thank Ayrshire Collie Club and Its committee for inviting me to judge the dog classes at their prestigious show, and for a fantastic time. Also to my stewards for providing a most enjoyable day. Thankyou to all exhibitors, near and far, for their excellent presentation and clean teeth. Congratulations to all the winners.

Deep chest and well placed shoulders lending to a lovely body shape. Well boned with short hocks and moved very well.
2nd Melvin & Jopson’s STARLENGA STREETS AHEAD AT NITHVIEW. Again a very nice type with moulding and head pattern not dissimilar to my first. Arched neck with correct length of back. Good bone. Just needs a bit more coat to finish the picture.

Limit Dog 5[1]
1st Congdon’s MONSOLANA BLUZSTAR FOR AARONWELL [IMP RUS]. This was my biggest heartache of the day, as there were not enough tickets to present. What a smashing blue merle of fantastic colour and quality. He has lovely moulding to his muzzle with a deep stop and flat skull. A melting expression and very tight ear carriage which gave a very balanced head. In tiptop condition with very good
conformation and plenty of bone. Short hocks and well angulated hind quarters. Very impressed with him and I hope he has a great future.
2nd Sibbald’s TELFORTH TONY. Unfortunate to have met the blue in this class. Another extremely pleasing male with a very nice head pattern full of intelligent expression. Solidly built and shapely. Masculine but in no way coarse.
3rd Fort’s SHULUNE MINES A DOUBLE

Open Dog 9[2]
1st Foy, Hawkins’ CH. BELDONES DOUBLE DIAMOND. WOW what a pleasant surprise on the day. Could not take my eyes off him as he is just the type I have in my own kennel. Such a striking boy. I loved everything about his head from his fabulous expression, sweet dreamy almond eye and rounded muzzle, flat skull and tightly tipped ears. Lovely reach of neck enhancing body shape, and conformation to die for. Floated round the ring. He just blew me away. Congratulations on a well deserved CC.
2nd Hodges’ JOPIUM DRIFTING MIST. Such a hard class this was. Another smashing blue out of this kennel and again typical of what I have in my own. Oozing quality. Upstanding boy with beautiful silvery blue colour. Loved his head type with dreamy expression, flat skull and good underjaw. Well arched neck and shapely body with ample bone and tight feet. Stood square front and rear. Just lost out on maturity.

1st Wray’s TAKHISIS HIGH VOLTAGE. All I can say is, thankyou Sophie for giving me the opportunity to judge Panda once again. And at nine years old he is still one of my all time favourites. Such a wonderful boy. Head in proportion with clean stop and sweet almond eye. A non stop showman with tight ear carriage and wedge shape head. Neck and length of back giving a beautiful outline. In perfect harmony with owner. When he moved it said it all. Just floated round the ring with drive and elegance. A perfect picture. Well done. Res CC. Best Veteran in show.
2nd Paterson & Blaney’s WILMARANNA PORTRAIT IN BLUE, SH CM. A mature boy with masculine head but not out of proportion. Stood square with overall good make and shape. Ample bone and sound on the move.
3rd Sinclair’s LADNAR KINGS COUNTRY.
