Yorkshire Collie Club Championship Show August 31st 2014

Rough Males – 53 exhibits, 70 entries

I was very grateful when receiving the invitation to judge this show. It is a great honor for a non UK person to be able to judge the breed in its country of origin.
I went down memory lane on the train to Doncaster. It took me back to the end of the 70s when I was kennel hopping with The Yorkshire Collie Club Hand Book in one hand and a Brit Rail Pass in the other.

The venue was very nice and the hospitality second to none. Two very efficient stewards keeping track of me, Thank You Angela and Christine!

What a way to start your day. In comes this 6½ month old sable puppy. Showing himself off like he had never done anything else in his life. Lovely length of head with nice parallel plains. Nice wedge. Slight stop. Smooth well rounded muzzle. Sweet oblique eye. Well set ears that he loved to show. Very attentive.
Very soundly constructed, with nice bone and very good feet. Nice well arched neck. Very promising coat. Moved very well for his age. Good stability and good reach and drive.
