It was a great honour to be judging Best in Show at what is the most prestigious show in the collie calendar.

My first challenge was between the Rough dog and bitch for BOB. Both very well presented and both excellent examples of the breed as you would expect from the respective judges. After accessing both I felt the dog edged it with his very clean head properties and non stop showmanship.

The Rough bitch took Best Puppy in Show ultra feminine and presented to perfection. challenging a very upstanding smooth male puppy.

The BIS Challenge saw the Smooth dog and BOB winner enter the ring on terrific form and in super condition.

If you read Ruth Gibson's remarks on this dog it sums him up so well. He is that little bit special and has total charisma which helped make my decision to award him Best in Show today. The second time apparently this exhibitor as won BIS here and the 5th time for the kennel that bred him and this lad is surely one of their greats.

Reserve BIS going to the Rough Dog in another tough challenge against a super young smooth bitch
